01 / THE IDEA

A small space.
A whole growing story.

Royal Pizza Garden follows a horticultural project from the empty space before installation to the ingredients that make it onto a pizza. The plan centers on a 4×4 grow tent, LED lighting, and a record of what happens along the way.

Good results belong here. So do the pests, failed experiments, costs, and changes of plan. This first edition sets out what we’ll document; it does not claim the garden is installed or that a harvest has happened.

02 / THE GROW NOTEBOOK

The details are the story.

Open a chapter to see what we’ll track.
Blank records mean “not recorded,” never zero.

01Before the first seedPre-installation & equipment costs+

Space photos, layout sketches, equipment choices and the reasons behind them. Installation dates and purchase receipts will be added when available.

Future ledger: quantity, currency, tax, delivery, purchase date, electricity rate and operating costs. No cost total is available yet.

02Inside the 4×4Tent layout, LED lighting & PPFD+

The planned grow space gets its own measured map. Tent dimensions and units, fixture model, hanging height, dimmer setting, photoperiod and canopy stage will accompany every lighting survey.

PPFD map awaiting measurementsRecord each grid point in µmol/m²/s, plus sensor model, measurement date and canopy distance. No illustrative values are presented as readings.

Future records: layout and installation photos, power draw, light schedule, PPFD grid and calculated DLI with its inputs.

03A climate worth recordingTemperature, humidity & airflow+

Track air temperature, relative humidity, sensor position, lights-on/off periods, ventilation settings and any interventions. Leaf temperature and VPD calculations can be added with their assumptions.

No sensors are connected to this initial website. Future charts will show dated observations and gaps in coverage.

04What goes into the rootsNutrient recipes, pH, EC & irrigation+

Each nutrient batch will document water source, starting pH and EC, product names, exact quantities and units, final volume, mixing order, final pH/EC and crop stage.

No nutrient recipe recordedFormulations will be published with actual inputs and observed results. This placeholder is not a feeding recommendation.

Irrigation entries will capture the system layout, emitter flow, schedule, input volume, runoff volume and runoff pH/EC when measured, alongside changes and plant response.

05The imperfect partsFailures, pests & lessons learned+

A place for symptoms, suspected causes, identification confidence, photos, actions taken and follow-up observations. A hypothesis stays a hypothesis until the evidence supports it.

No incidents documented yetThis means no records have been entered; it is not a claim that the garden is pest-free.

03 / SEED-TO-HARVEST JOURNAL

One grow. Every chapter.

Future entries will connect dates, photos,
measurements and the decisions they informed.

  1. 01

    Sow

Seed source, cultivar, sowing date, medium and germination.

  2. 02

    Grow

Transplants, light, climate, feeding and visible changes.

  3. 03

    Harvest

Harvest dates, weight, quality and what we would change.

  4. 04

    Cook

Ingredients traced back to their grow and harvest records.

AWAITING FIRST ENTRY

The first page is still blank.

No sowing dates, cultivars, harvest totals or plant photos have been supplied yet. Our first real entry will start with the space before installation.

04 / THE KITCHEN

And then,
we make pizza.

The destination for everything we learn in the garden: a table, a warm oven, and something worth sharing.

Recipe pages will include ingredient weights, dough and fermentation notes, sauce, toppings, oven setup, bake time, and the harvests behind each slice.
